Hi I'm Mikey, I have had Crohn's for 15 years. I was dianosised back in 2020. Here is my story. I'm going to try to update this everyday or at three times a week.
The last couple of months have been a little crazy. In June, I had Lyme disease. In August, I had an issue after getting the Shingrix vaccine. I had hives, redness, and swelling of my wrists and was light-headed, and throwing up. My heart rate went to 137 BPM. This was when I went to the ER. They gave me prednisone, Pepcid, and Benadryl. I went back to work and was fine for the most part. Later that afternoon, my right wrist was hurting. So I took some Tylenol after work and relaxed. The following day, my arm was bothering me, and so was my wrist. Around 11 o'clock, my right arm up to my neck was in so much pain. I went to the ER and was given a Medrol Dosepack. I was told that I may have rheumatoid arthritis. So I saw a doctor who told me to get more blood tests, and I will see her at the end of September. However, she said that having Crohn's causes a particular type of arthritis which I think is rheumatoid arthritis. She hasn't told me yet. I made it through work for 2 w...
I'm not good at updating this blog, and I hope to get something out this week or next. This time of year is challenging because of all the food I can't eat that looks so good. I just learned to deal with it, and I either eat it later as leftovers or avoid it entirely. Now here's the miracle: I used to use Immodium to help keep me under control, but since my surgery in 2021. I haven't had to use it in a year. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
